I don’t often put up personal stories or images on my blog, I like it to be a place to share my favorites from the wonderful people I get to shoot for every day. This is an exception. As you may have noticed my blog has been a little neglected lately and although that can often happen during a busy wedding season I used to find time after my daughter was in bed or other brief moments to share some work. If you have never heard the quote, “if you want to hear fate laugh tell it your plans” the delicious smiles below belong to what was expected to be baby #2, but when we attempted to plan for the off season took matters into their own hands. C&Z our identical twin boys were born healthy and wonderful in February and although they keep us on our toes we could not be happier to have them both, especially now that they nap!

Boy Oh Boy
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011Belly Buttons and Butterflies
Wednesday, July 7th, 2010I am always looking for new and different ways to photograph newborns, I think they have a wonderful quality to look like the main focus of a Dutch still life painting and I like to exploit that idea whenever I have the chance. Sometime I use items that parents bring with them to our sessions like musical instruments, special books or sports equipment, other time like this one I have a wonderful and willing model in baby L and her parents and can go a little out of the box. The amazing Susan from Added Touch Celebration helped me get the butterflies in time since we did not know when exactly to expect baby L and after the shoot we set them free here at the studio. Below is a little sample from our session and I have to say the best and most unexpected part were all the smiles as the butterflies tickled L like crazy!

Snow Babies
Sunday, February 28th, 2010The winter has been all about babies this year and with the snow outside there is nothing like a warm sleeping baby to help with the cabin fever. This cute guy was was an amazing snoozer, he came in, settled down and two hours later we were done and he woke up. I had a great time with baby L and his parents and I think from the session images, he did too. Click on any of them to see the full shot and enjoy!
New Wee Chic Mini Sessions
Wednesday, February 24th, 2010I sat down a couple of months ago with Bridget of Wee Chic baby boutique in Green Spring Station to talk about new ideas for the spring. Bridget and I share a love of fresh, fun aesthetics and children who are happy and comfortable and this has led to great mini sessions at her store. We decide that for our next set of mini sessions on March 6th we wanted to do something different. I am always ready for some fun by this time in the winter so I decided to bring my own spring and get a dozen real live chicks! We are going to have a great time and if you are interested in a session spot, please contact the lovely staff at www.weechic.com or 410-878-7400. Check out the blogs of some of our other sessions, sessions are free along with an 8×10 print credit and last about 20 min. We hope you will come join us and these cuties!
Cuter than Apple Pie
Friday, February 19th, 2010Twins Plus One
Friday, February 19th, 2010I though it could not get any cuter than tiny twin feet, but along comes their cousin baby A and now there are three! Here are some shots from my recent session with the twins and the one we did a few weeks later when A arrived. I had to put in all the smiles, because it is not often that week old babies give me these kinds of smiles, but if I was a part of this family I would too.

Sneak Peek
Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010
These cute feet belong to twins M&H who had a wonderful time at our session snoozing together. As if it could get any cuter these two got a cousin a few weeks later. I had a wonderful time at both sessions, the baby’s moms are twin’s too so it is so fun to see them all together. I will post more of the session soon, but I just love these piggies!
