It is unusual, but I have nothing except thanks for our early March weather and the day of this session was no exception. Sunshine, a couple of clouds and perfect for ditching the coats. It was also perfect for wandering around Mt. Vernon with the love of your life (and if there happens to be a photographer stalking you just ignore her). K&A did a great job of that and we had fun sneaking in and out of some great spots in the neighborhood. Enjoy!

Spring Arrives for a Mt Vernon Engagement Session
Monday, April 16th, 2012E&P’s Engagement Session at Federal Hill
Monday, November 7th, 2011I had a ton of beautiful images from E&P’s engagement session, the trees, the view, and the flowers were all cooperating the morning of our shoot and it was fun and easy to capture how happy these two are. With all those beautiful and dare I say picturesque options, it is truly a trusting couple who lets you stick them in a garage with cement walls and beer bottles on the floor. It was just want I was looking for to spice up our session and ended up being some of my favorite shots of the day. So a big thanks to E&P for their willingness to trespass on private property, I hope you are enjoying the images as much as I am.
Sunflowers and Honeybees
Friday, September 23rd, 2011This engagement session was supposed to be all about the sunflowers, as it turned out it was all about the honeybees. I am so glad to have had such good sports in L & JD, even if the bees were too busy with the flowers to pay us much attention, it is not every couple who will stand in the line of fire for a great shot. I really can’t blame either the bees or my couple, the flowers were beautiful. It is as close to Tuscany as I am getting this year and it was so much fun. Congratulations you guys, I can’t wait for your wedding in November!
Love Bugs
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011I had such an amazing time with J&D at their engagement session in Hunt Valley. My father-in-law has been fixing up this fantastic VW and I had to steal it for what I am sure will not be the first time. There are few things more fun than driving around the countryside in summer with the top down. It was the perfect atmosphere for our shoot and fit right in at The Filling Station. I think this is just the right tone to set as I start sharing all the great images that have been building up during a busy wedding season. I can’t wait for their wedding in October!
First Comes Love…
Tuesday, May 11th, 2010Last year I started a new studio policy that all our brides and grooms receive a lifetime of free session fees. I did this because I found that I really liked getting to know my clients and with the free session fees had the chance to work with them over and over again as their lives and families changed. It also gave me the opportunity to be more creative with my clients since I knew what they like and were interested in. It has been a wonderful experiment and also means that I almost always get to do an engagement session with my couples as the session is free! It is great way to get comfortable with each other before the wedding day and we always go someplace beautiful or special to the couple for the shoot. Congratulations to all the May brides and grooms, wedding season is in full swing!
