It is unusual, but I have nothing except thanks for our early March weather and the day of this session was no exception. Sunshine, a couple of clouds and perfect for ditching the coats. It was also perfect for wandering around Mt. Vernon with the love of your life (and if there happens to be a photographer stalking you just ignore her). K&A did a great job of that and we had fun sneaking in and out of some great spots in the neighborhood. Enjoy!
Spring Arrives for a Mt Vernon Engagement Session
April 16th, 2012Winter Elegance at the Belvedere Hotel in Baltimore
April 9th, 2012I love when couples get personal and creative and this wedding is an example of both. Inspired by her favorite Jo Malone fragrances and the sport that brought them together, Tina choose a sophisticated black and white palette and amazing design work of MLC Design Studio to make her tennis idea super chic. From invitations to the candy bar at the end of the night every detail worked together and complimented the beautiful and classic surroundings of The Belvedere Hotel in Baltimore. Not to be held back by the chilly winter weather, white flowers were everywhere and Flowers and Fancies provided a pop of red for the bridal party with roses so amazing I almost thought they were fake. Enough gushing, check out the wonderfulness for yourself.
For Love of the Game
December 26th, 20112011 has been an amazing wedding season and I have had the pleasure to work with a lot of wonderful couples. I can’t think of a better way to end it than celebrating with Tina and Aaron at their romantic winter wedding this coming week at The Belvedere. This engagement session was inspired by their first meeting, when Tina decided to take a tennis lesson from the future love of her life. What else can you say, it was Love-Love.
Joy of the Holiday Cards
November 17th, 2011I am the type of person who likes to use their beautiful dishes everyday. I like to enjoy them as much as I can and I feel the same way about great images. This year I partnered with Madeline of MLC Designs to create a series of holiday cards that combine personal style with your favorite shots. We originally connected over weddings and as soon as I saw her work I knew she would be just the right person to collaborate with on this project.
Madeline, besides being fabulously talented, has the ability to take your ideas and create something better than you could ever imagine from them. All of the cards have a different style and color pallet that I love as well as details like the space on the Damask and the Stripe that allow you to include a custom paragraph to share updates about your family. Images from any regular portrait session or a mini session at Wee Chic are included and if you have any questions or are interested in ordering cards please contact me or Madeline at the information on the sheet below. A special thanks to all of the “Smith” families that were used as samples for our card designs.
E&P’s Engagement Session at Federal Hill
November 7th, 2011I had a ton of beautiful images from E&P’s engagement session, the trees, the view, and the flowers were all cooperating the morning of our shoot and it was fun and easy to capture how happy these two are. With all those beautiful and dare I say picturesque options, it is truly a trusting couple who lets you stick them in a garage with cement walls and beer bottles on the floor. It was just want I was looking for to spice up our session and ended up being some of my favorite shots of the day. So a big thanks to E&P for their willingness to trespass on private property, I hope you are enjoying the images as much as I am.
Designed with Love
November 6th, 2011I could not have said it better than the post at Invitation Crush about Erin and Bryan’s wedding invitations, elegant with a modern twist is a perfect way to describe them. You can see how well their design compliments the look of their wedding at Antrim 1844 with the wrought iron table that made up the background and Erin’s birdcage veil with the fan style program. Congratulations to Erin on this awesome feature, she designed them herself. Love all my amazing and talented couples!
Sunflowers and Honeybees
September 23rd, 2011This engagement session was supposed to be all about the sunflowers, as it turned out it was all about the honeybees. I am so glad to have had such good sports in L & JD, even if the bees were too busy with the flowers to pay us much attention, it is not every couple who will stand in the line of fire for a great shot. I really can’t blame either the bees or my couple, the flowers were beautiful. It is as close to Tuscany as I am getting this year and it was so much fun. Congratulations you guys, I can’t wait for your wedding in November!
T & J at Ceresville Mansion
September 22nd, 2011With all the beautiful fall colors on their way, I had to post a little inspiration from last year. This is the kind of visual that gets me as a photographer so excited as everything becomes a part of the look and atmosphere for the wedding. The light, the leaves and the sweetness of this couple made their wedding fantastic and with a new addition on the way they had a lot to celebrate, it was real joy to be there.
Guest Star
September 6th, 2011L&M at Pazo
August 18th, 2011I just loved the style and design of this wedding, on its own it was beautiful and when coupled with a space like Pazo it created an elegant, warm and sophisticated foundation for the entire event. The lofty ceiling and huge windows let in lots of light and made all the different seating areas and cozy corners, decorated with flowers from Simply Beautiful Flowers, great places to eat some delicious food and yummy Graul’s cake. The bride and groom were so happy and I think the only thing that they were more excited about than the wedding was each other, so cute!
